The forged checks were drawn on a local bank, but officers didn't recognize the name on the affidavits. So they ran it on Street Smart and, a few seconds later, up came an outstanding warrant from Illinois. Turns out, the forger had been living in Jackson Parish for several years. Soon, he was living in a cell. Using his photo and identifiers - obtained with Street Smart - officers arrested him, right across the street from the local courthouse.
